HIT Makes Magic

For two wonderful evenings, all three levels of the theatre were miraculously transformed into all things magical during our recent Ironwood’s Wizarding World FUNdraiser. Aside from providing a fun family event that brought many new people into HIT, we also raised funds towards the  forthcoming replacement of our antiquated stage rigging system with a modern counterweight system.

It was a wildly successful event that could not happen without the support of an army of people. So we’d like to take a minute to say thank you to:

•  Our sponsors who helped underwrite the cost of staging the event
• The too-many-to-name-here donors of product and prizes
• All those who worked for weeks , creating sets, assembling and displaying props, and masterfully decorating each location
• The young members of the Awkward Stage Drama Club (ASDC)  for their “mini-plays” throughout the event
• The stage hands who worked in the dark, transforming the settings during the various ASDC mini-plays
• The tech folk who lit the stage, and coordinated a comprehensive range of sound and lighting effects throughout the theatre, creating a truly immersive experience
• And finally all of you – the hundreds of people who bought tickets, dressed up, and showed up. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
