Are You A Tech Nerd? Your Theatre Needs You! 

Your Theatre Needs You!  If you have some sound and/or lighting experience, or you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to manage the lights or control sound at a live performance, we at HIT want to hear from you. Thanks to grant support from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, we recently upgraded our audio system and are currently overhauling our lighting system. Between those equipment upgrades and the increase in the number of shows we are presenting, our need for tech volunteers is greater than its been before. Don’t be put off by all those buttons and sliders – we run a comprehensive (and very patient) training program for newbies. In the coming weeks we will be offering some introductory orientation sessions. Basically a laid back hour and a half or so of simply watching while some  of our experienced operators show you what it takes to operate the equipment. Then if you decide you’d like to explore the opportunity further we will schedule some more intensive training. But for now, why not jut come along and see what its all about ?
